Gold Nanoparticle: Recent Progress on Its Antibacterial Applications and Mechanisms

Gold nanoparticles (AuNP) is a new type of metal nanomaterials used in the biomedical field. Compared with ordinary materials and other nanomaterials, AuNP can be very unique. has been proven to have good performance against variety pathogens, research on its antibacterial activity mechanism also become hot topic recent years. This article summarizes properties clinical applications different kinds bacteria analyzes discusses existing potential mechanisms. At same time, we put forward current challenges problems solved by look future development prospects, order correctly comprehensively introduce this method.
